Octopus

This morning my husband asked me:
“How is the balance of electricity needs and supplies?”

I ansered:
“It’s good since July. The peak of power consumption has not been yet risen over 90%”

“That’s good.”
“But it’s only because many factories are reducing their production.”
“By the law of saving power?”
“Yes. reducing production for convenience in daily life – it’s like an octopus eating his legs”
It’s a well-known japanese saying.

“Exactly.”
“But look, if an octopus eats his legs to grow his new legs, it will be a complete reversible thermodynamic engine, won’t it?”
“Stop that.”
